Dr. Nawaz has practiced Cardiology in the Denver Metro area for over the last fifteen years. He graduated from the leading Medical School in Egypt; and has resided in the United States for the past twenty five years. He received his cardiology training at the University of Colorado and additional specialty training in Interventional Cardiology, including peripheral interventions, at the Scripps Clinic in California and at the Arizona Heart Institute. His expertise lies in the area of coronary and peripheral interventions and the treatment of Heart failure. He is committed to providing cardiology services to underserved communities and has over the last fifteen years developed a robust Cardiology rural outreach program in the San Luis Valley, in Southern Colorado. He pioneered an international referral program in Denver treating hundreds of international patients every year including many world leaders and dignitaries. He was the founder of Medlink International in collaboration with Columbia/Health ONE, developed US standard hospital facilities in developing countries, bringing new innovative ideas to the delivery of health care in those countries. He is a community activist who is involved in many community service projects in the Denver Metro area, has served on the board of the Metro Denver chapter of the American Heart Association. Dr. Nawaz is married, and has three daughters. He is a world traveler who is fluent in many languages. Professional Interests: Education:
